How I Reached Paradise — Without Dying

My journey to Switzerland wasn’t easy.
Immigration is not tourism — it takes real effort to build a life in a new country. I had to adapt, to learn, to work hard — and in doing so, I’ve gained a perspective that even many native Swiss may never experience.
For most people, home means a street address, a workplace, a school, and a few familiar places shared with friends.
But for me, home became a quest — to explore this country deeply. I’ve conducted over a thousand interviews, visited both famous landmarks and hidden gems, and immersed myself in the culture, history, and politics of Switzerland.
Yet none of that compares to what you will feel when you come here — even for just one day.
The landscapes around you act like pure anti-stress medicine. And sometimes, when you’re standing by a crystal-clear lake surrounded by mountains, you might just catch yourself thinking:
“Wait… when did I die? Because this feels like heaven.”

Local Highlights

The Swiss work hard. They earn well. And yes… that often leads to burnout.
But! Those who appreciate the finer things in life — and there are many (after all, Italy is just 200 km away, right behind the Alps) — gather in thousands of small clubs and local associations, participating in annual events that celebrate community and tradition.
Some of these celebrations are centuries old.
The most recent and meaningful ones are featured right here.
